Perini Management Services completed a new four-story courthouse on a one-acre urban site following the termination of the original contractor halfway through the project. Our scope involved correcting a significant amount of deficient work, including the complete removal and replacement of the exterior limestone facade. We re-procured the replacement stone, which came from Portugal and was fabricated in China, and all the architectural metals. The interior work included extensive millwork and terazzo floors and a large cantilevered curved staircase surrounded by glass and curtainwall. The building contains six courtrooms, mediation rooms, conference spaces, staff offices, security control facilities, and prisoner intake and holding cells.
