Repair Work Gets Underway at Alcatraz Island

The preparatory work of scaffold erection, lead abatement, and preparation of repair mock-ups for the first phase of the project is nearly complete, clearing the way for the exterior repair work to begin on a production basis. The project focus is to repair corroding concrete, cathodic protection systems, and deteriorating windows and doors in the historic Cellhouse building.
