Perini Receives NPS Contract at Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook Unit
September 14, 2017
Perini Management Services, Inc., has been awarded a contract by the National Park Service to relocate the maintenance and storage facilities at the Sandy Hook Unit within the historic Fort Hancock section of the Gateway National Recreation Area in New Jersey. The existing facilities were severely damaged during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and the new facilities will be relocated to higher ground and flood resistant. The project consists of the renovation of two existing historic buildings to serve as a wood shop and administrative building, and new construction of an auto shop and parking/storage structure, along with extensive site work within the 7-acre area.
