Perini Management Services, Inc. Announces Three Task Orders Valued up to $76 Million

SYLMAR, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Perini Management Services, Inc. (PMSI), has recently received three task orders for federal projects.
Repair Damage to Multiple Park Buildings at Ellis Island, New York
PMSI received a $34.9 million task order under a National Park Service contract for repairs to several buildings on Ellis Island in New York Harbor. Ellis Island served as the main point of entry for immigrants arriving on the East Coast during the years between 1892 and 1954 and is now part of the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Monument. PMSI will be replacing the mechanical and electrical systems that were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, as well as providing temporary cooling and heating to enhance park visitors’ comfort while the restoration work is underway. PMSI’s team for this project includes F&G Mechanical of Secaucus, New Jersey; Turnpike Electric of Pine Brook, New Jersey; and C&S Building Services of Farmingdale, New York.
Containerized Housing/Office Units
PMSI received a $13 million design-build task order from the U.S. Department of State under a competitive award program to purchase and install Hardened Alternative Trailer System (HATS) units at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. There is potential for award of several options under this contract for an additional $9 million as funds become available. PMSI’s team for this project includes Tetra Tech of Framingham, Massachusetts as lead design firm; Charleston Marine Containers, Inc. of Charleston, South Carolina; and Matta et Associés of Lebanon.
New Upper Government Hill Housing at Base Kodiak, Alaska
PMSI received a new task order under a U.S. Coast Guard National Multiple Award Construction Contract. The $19.5 million project is for the design and construction of 10 duplex housing units at the Coast Guard base on Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. PMSI’s team for this project includes the architectural firm, AKS, Inc. of Seattle, Washington and Jay-Brant General Contractors of Kodiak, Alaska.
