Perini received three task orders in April under separate Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts:
NRO Operations Squadron (NOPS) Building 403 Annex at Schriever AFB, Colorado. This $12.8 million design-build project was awarded on April 9th for new construction of a two-story administrative facility that will connect to an adjacent building with an elevated walkway. Stanley Consultants is Perini’s lead Architect/Engineer for this task-order under the AFCEC SATOC contract.
Microgrid Project at Tooele Army Depot, Utah. Awarded on April 20, this project is for design, construction and commissioning of a microgrid that will integrate existing and new wind turbines, an existing generator and solar array, and a new battery storage system into the existing utility grid operated by Rocky Mountain Power. The $5.1 million project is a task-order under the USACE Huntsville Center Energy Conservation and Investment Contract (ECIP). Burns & McDonnell is Perini’s design partner.
Carter Woodson Home Rehabilitation, Washington, DC. Perini will be assisting the National Park Service to restore this Victorian row house in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C., which was the home of a prominent African American scholar from 1922 to 1950. Dr. Carter Woodson founded the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, headquartered in the building, and is widely acknowledged as the inspiration for Black History Month. The house was named a National Historic Landmark in 1976 and acquired by the Park Service as a National Historic Site in 2005. Perini will provide structural stabilization and significant architectural repairs.
